Flexus Dance Collective: ‘EUPHORIA’ – Sterran Touring Company.
‘Euphoria’ is a significantly relevant, timely and audacious new collaborative work by Katy Sterran and Composer Ni Singh. Created for, by and with the young people of Sterran Touring Company, the exciting new work ignites meaningful relationships and opportunities across Dance and Music communities. Driven out of a period of limitation, repression, confinement and conformity, the work is an exhilarating creative release of euphoric manifestations, capturing the impact of the previous year on a young generation desperately seeking for their euphoric moment.
Partnering with Inclusic (formerly Rock School Music LTD) and Walsall Music Hub, ‘Euphoria’ will be accompanied by curtain-raiser performances created with local Secondary Schools, set to original live sound tracks created and performed by the young musicians themselves.

Creative Black Country draws your attention to an opportunity to see tour-ready work around circus and physical theatre in Birmingham, at the sixth edition of TILT Festival. The public programme is scheduled from 16th July to 18th July 2021 and it will include professional performances, pitching new work, scratch performances, film projections and live DJ acts.
The Festival will also be promoting the latest achievements of circus and physical theatre, whilst offering masterclasses and family activities.

From Flexus Dance Collective comes Project Xpedition – a new, aspirational programme aimed at Creative Pioneers aged between 12 and 21 years old in Wolverhampton and the Black Country, Telford & Shropshire and Stafford who have an interest in pursuing a career in the Creative Industries.
Creative Pioneers will work as part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplined Arts team across both Flexus Dance Collective and The Arena Theatre, building an industry toolkit through monthly workshops and discussions focussed on technical roles (lighting, sound, design), event management, project co- ordination, marketing, digital marketing and more.
Alongside this, young people will have ownership over the design and development of an ambitious annual Art Events, and will become instrumental in shaping the offers of Arena Theatre and Flexus Dance Collective by becoming a member of the Youth Board for both organisations.

Offsite 9 Commission opportunities are live (4 x Commissions up to £4,000)
For its Offsite 9 commissions Creative Black Country will be supporting activities that increase opportunities for people to experience great creative and cultural experiences in Wolverhampton. CBC has been awarded Arts Council funding to support the development of a local programme supporting artists to create work that will add value and compliment the main British Art Show 9 (BAS9) show in Wolverhampton.
Commissions can be created by collectives, individuals or organisations and you can find out more about the commissions and how to apply here.
