VisitEngland is beginning to collate the country’s major travel news stories for 2026 to share with national and international media contacts.

They are inviting submissions of any nationally significant Walsall-related stories for 2026, aligned to the following themes:

• Major new accommodation and restaurant openings

• Big events and exhibitions

• New sustainability initiatives and responsible travel experiences – including agritourism and voluntourism offerings

• New products or experiences developed for those with accessibility requirements

• New tours, attractions and experiences

• New trails and outdoor activities

• New film/TV location tie-ins and set-jetting experiences

• Major anniversaries

Submissions should be of national significance (i.e. likely to attract visitors and media from across the country) to be considered for inclusion in VisitEngland’s 2026 press materials, which are distributed to national and international travel writers.

Past participation in these call-outs has resulted in strong coverage for West Midlands tourism partners.
