As contributors continue to confirm their attendance, the website is becoming populated with
tantalising sessions ranging from Dyslexia and Creative Writing (“Writing Pottery”) to Ekphrastic
Poetry, The highs and lows of podcasting, and lots of live poetry from local superstars.

Funding is available to businesses, collectives and not-for-profits working in Great Britain’s music industries to help create sustainable, meaningful career opportunities for young people aged 18-25, especially those who are currently underrepresented in the sector.

Walsall Cultural Education Partnership would like to invite potential partners to a roundtable to explore this funding further and consider an expression of interest with a proposal for how we might deliver a major transformational arts and cultural programme in Walsall.

Black Country Touring has created a new podcast called Black Country Stories. As the title suggests the podcast is inspired by the people, stories and places of the Black Country made in collaboration with award-winning artists from the region

The works, spanning a variety of media from collage and photography to drawing and painting, respond to world events over a tumultuous year; from the Covid19 pandemic and National Lockdowns, to Black Lives Matter and Brexit, to Class Inequalities and Climate Change.

Arts Connect is proudly partnering with cultural venues across England including The New Art Gallery Walsall. As well as lending their expertise in arts education, The New Art Gallery Walsall will host a celebration event every June.

Black Country Touring is seeking a Creative Producer with an interest in creating live performance in unusual and everyday spaces to engage local communities and profile Black Country stories.

As part of the national Artists
Access to Art Colleges project Wolverhampton School of Art will be offering six placements to artists
and designer-makers in 2021-22, giving themthe opportunity to undertake a period of research or
realise a project using our workshop and supporting facilities e.g., IT facilities, lending library and
lecture programme.
