My name is Nancy Cummins, and I’m part of the team at RicNic, a youth-led arts organisation passionate about helping young people in our community discover their creativity through fun, engaging experiences.

This winter, we’re running four exciting, free workshops in Walsall: Creative Writing, Choir, Dance and Play in A Day workshops – alongside a final show day/event celebrating the work! And we’d love to work with you to spread the word.

What We’re Offering:

• Creative Writing (for the Stage): Open to those aged 11 and above, we’re inviting budding writers to turn local stories into stage plays!
• Choir Workshop: A friendly, inclusive session for all ages, covering a mix of pop, musical theatre, and world music. It’s perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to try singing with a choir, no matter their experience.
• Dance Troupe: Love to move? Join our lively dance troupe and express yourself through a mix of styles, from contemporary to street dance! Perfect for dancers of all levels—whether you’ve got years of experience or just love to groove, come be part of something exciting!
• Play in a Day: Ready for a challenge? In just one day, you’ll work with a team to create and perform a whole play! From brainstorming ideas to taking center stage, it’s fast-paced, fun, and a great way to try out acting, directing, or backstage roles—all in a single day!

I’ve attached flyers with all the details, including dates, times, and venues. I’m reaching out because I believe together we can make a big difference in our local community, and your help in raising awareness would be invaluable.
